This explains what personal data Rackvane collects when you use our website, panel and game servers, and what we do with it.
1. What we collect
- Account: email address, name, password (stored only as a one-way hash), two-factor and passkey settings, and accounts you link, such as Discord or Google.
- Billing: invoices and their status, and the billing details you enter (name, company, address, country, VAT number). We never see your wallet keys or card details.
- Sessions and security: IP address, browser and device for each sign-in, so you can review and end sessions, plus records of sign-in attempts to stop abuse.
- Servers: the files you upload, your server settings, console output while it runs and usage statistics such as CPU, memory and player counts.
- Support: the tickets and messages you send us.
2. Why we use it
- To run your account and servers, and to bill for them (performing our contract with you).
- To keep the service secure: detecting fraud, crypto mining and attacks (our legitimate interest).
- To send account emails, such as sign-in codes, invoices and renewal reminders. Product news only if you opt in, and you can opt out any time.
- To meet legal duties, such as keeping invoices.
3. Who else processes it
We don't sell your data. We share it only with services that help us run Rackvane, under their own data protection terms:
- our crypto payment processor, for invoices and payments;
- our email provider, to deliver account emails;
- the data centres that host our panel and game servers;
- Discord or Google, only if you choose to sign in with them.
We may also disclose data when the law requires it.
5. How long we keep it
- Account data: while your account exists. Deleting your account removes it, along with your servers.
- Server files: until you delete the server, or it's removed after an unpaid period or, for free servers, after a while without use.
- Invoices: as long as tax law requires, usually several years.
- Security logs: a limited time, then deleted.
6. Your rights
You can see and change most of your data in the panel, download your server files, and delete your account. You can also ask us for a copy of your data, to correct or erase it, or to stop processing it, and you can complain to your data protection authority. Write to [email protected].
7. Security
Connections use HTTPS, passwords are hashed with Argon2id, and secrets such as database passwords are encrypted at rest. Every game server runs in its own isolated container. No system is perfectly secure, so we'll tell you promptly if a breach affects your data.
8. Changes
We'll update this policy as Rackvane changes and email you about important changes. See also our Terms of Service.
