Terms of Service
Last updated October 7, 2026
These terms apply when you create a Rackvane account or run a server with us. They're written to be read, so please do.
1. The service
Rackvane rents out game servers: a share of a machine's memory, processor and storage, managed through our control panel. You choose a game, a plan and a location; we run the server in an isolated container on our hardware.
2. Your account
- You need to be at least 16, or have a parent's permission, to create an account.
- Give us a working email address and keep your password and two-factor codes to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
- One person per account. Don't create accounts to get around limits, such as the number of free servers.
3. Payments and renewals
- Paid plans are prepaid for 30 days. Prices are in US dollars and shown before you pay.
- We take cryptocurrency through our payment processor. A server is created once the payment is confirmed on the network.
- There's no subscription: you renew when you want. If a period ends without a renewal, the server is suspended and its files are kept for a while so you can come back.
- New prices apply from your next renewal, never to a period you've already paid for.
Refunds. Crypto payments can't be reversed by the network. If a server we owe you can't be delivered, or is unusable because of a problem on our side, contact us within 7 days and we'll extend it or refund the unused time. Servers suspended for breaking these terms aren't refunded.
4. Free servers
- Free servers have small resources, run on separate machines and aren't online around the clock.
- They stop when nobody has played for a while and after a maximum session; you start them again from the panel. They're deleted when they haven't been used for some time. The current limits are shown when you create one.
- A start can be refused when the free machines are full. We may change or end the free tier at any time.
5. Acceptable use
Use your server for running games and the tools that belong to them. In particular, you may not:
- mine cryptocurrency or run anything else that isn't the game (we detect miners and stop them immediately);
- attack, scan or flood other systems, run proxies or VPNs for others, or send spam;
- host or share content that is illegal, infringes someone's rights, or sexualises minors;
- try to break out of your container, reach other customers' servers or overload our machines on purpose;
- break the rules of the game you host, such as the Minecraft EULA or the Cfx.re terms for FiveM and RedM.
You're responsible for what your players do on your server, including moderating chat and content.
6. Copyright and abuse reports
If you believe a server we host infringes your copyright or is being used for abuse (attacks, spam, phishing, illegal content), write to [email protected]. Include:
- the server address (IP and port) or the page where you saw the material;
- what the work or the abuse is, with evidence such as links, logs or timestamps;
- for copyright: that you own the rights or act for the owner, and that you believe in good faith the use isn't allowed;
- your name and a way to reach you.
We review every report, usually within 24 hours, and may suspend the server or remove the material while we look into it. The customer is told and can reply if they believe the report is mistaken; if they show they have the right to use it, we may restore it. Accounts that infringe repeatedly are closed.
7. Game names and trademarks
Game names, logos and artwork belong to their owners and appear on Rackvane only to show which games we host. Rackvane is an independent company and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by any game publisher. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang AB; FiveM and RedM are projects of Cfx.re. If you own a mark or image and want it shown differently or removed, write to [email protected] and we'll sort it out quickly.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or delete a server, or close an account, that breaks these terms, puts our network or other customers at risk, or is used for fraud. Where it's safe to, we'll tell you why first. You can delete your servers and your account at any time from the panel.
9. Your files and backups
Your worlds, configs and uploads are yours, and you can download them from the file manager at any time. Hardware can fail and mistakes happen, so keep your own copies of anything important: unless your plan says otherwise, we don't guarantee backups. When a server is deleted, its files are gone for good.
10. Availability
We work to keep servers online and protected from attacks, but we can't promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance, network problems and attacks we can't filter can cause downtime. The service is provided "as is".
11. Liability
As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for lost data, lost profits or indirect damages, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 3 months before the problem. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be waived.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these terms. If a change matters for you, we'll email you before it applies; continuing to use Rackvane after that means you accept it. Questions? Open a ticket in the panel or write to [email protected]. See also our Privacy Policy.
